BASF Names Pharma Ingredients SVP

Relocates business unit to Florham Park, NJ

Scott Thomson has been appointed senior vice president of BASF’s Pharma Ingredients and Services business unit. The company will be relocating the global headquarters of this business unit from Evionnaz, Switzerland, to Florham Park, NJ. The move will take place in stages during the next six months.

“By moving the headquarters of our global business unit to the United States, we are strengthening our presence in one of the world’s largest and most innovative markets for pharma products. This will enable us to even better serve the needs and demands of our international customers in the future,” said Walter Dissinger, president of BASF’s Nutrition & Health division.

Mr. Thomson succeeds Martin Widmann, who will now head up the Fuel & Lubricant Solutions unit in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Previously, Mr. Thomson was vice president market and customer development North America at BASF Corp. in Florham Park.
